Vaccinations
Everything You Need to Know
Vaccines are very important to keep you bunny(s) safe from deadly disease.
Viral Hemorrhagic Disease - Vhd2
Vhd2 is a highly contagious disease from flies, fleas, birds, rabbits to our shoes, clothing & even human touch. I reccomend high husbandry with Anigene/virkron disinfectant to clean hutches, cages & other equipment like dustpan/brush & litter trays. I use hand sanitiser & Steriliser for bottles & bowls. Voils over hutches, fly zappers, citronella/lemon balm essential oils in diffusers & other means to help deter flies. Please buy a brand new/unused hutch/cage unless you can 100%trust whom your purchasing from. Vaccinate your bunny(s) from vhd1&2 asap. Symptoms can be sudden, fine 1 minute & dead the next, fitting has been reported just before death. If you've had a sudden death please take your pets body to the vets to be cremated. Thoroughly clean as mentioned above, burn hutch & do not sell on as you'l be spreading the disease. Leave atleast 4 months until you repurchase a new bunny.
Vaccinations needed
Both indoor & outdoor Bunnie's need to be protected against potentially deadly disease's. Your vetinary practice will be able to quote their prices to you as all practise's & locations vary.
